Description

What will be your role?

In the regional platform (covering all AFD locations in North Africa) moderated by the Regional Director (based in Casablanca), and under the supervision of the head of the regional management pole (based in Cairo), the DRAN accountant based at AFD's Cairo branch, will be in charge of the following activities:

-Accounting entry, establishment of the accounting fortnights, ensuring compliance with the accounting procedures and the schedule established for the agencies of the Regional Directorate for North Africa (DRAN),
- First-level control of the accounting of the DRAN agencies, proposal of possible corrections and loading of the validated accounting on the accounting system,
- Preparation of monthly closings, cash documents (bank concordances and cash certificates) of DRAN branches within the given deadlines,
- Monthly justification of Third Party accounts and semi-annual of deposit and guarantee accounts of DRAN branches,
- Support to the Head of the regional management unit on the monthly accounting controls of DRAN agencies (checklist, reporting, monitoring table, etc...),
- Electronic filing of all invoices and accounting weeks,
- Support to the head of the regional management unit on the collection of budgetary and accounting data from the DRAN agencies,
- Support / advice to the supervised accounting services, in conjunction with the head of the regional
management unit- Interim of the Accounting Officer of the Cairo branch.

Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting and financial management;
- Proven professional practice and relevant professional experience, in particular in auditing or management control;
- 10 years of professional experience in a similar field;
- Critical thinking and ability to analyze data,
- Punctuality, good management of priorities and respect for deadlines,
- Perfect command of French (main language): reading, writing, speaking;
- Perfect command of English and Arabic: reading, writing, speaking;
- Ability to work in a team and/or remotely, including in an intercultural context;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Autonomy, common sense and rigor.

This position, integrated into the regional platform of the Regional Directorate for North Africa (DRAN), is based in Cairo. The Cairo agency is a dynamic team of twenty people, benefiting from a pleasant setting in premises shared with the economic hub of the France Embassy in Zamalek.
